RSVSR X9 Maverick Guide for BO7 Best Underrated Loadout

I get why people cling to the same "safe" rifles in BO7, but it makes the whole game feel predictable fast. If you want something that still hits hard without looking like every other class in the lobby, the X9 Maverick is worth a real look, especially if you've been warming up in a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby and want a setup that behaves the same once the matches get sweaty. It's not flashy. It just does the job, and it does it clean.

Why The Maverick Slips Under The Radar

A lot of players try the Maverick stock, feel it's "fine," then go back to whatever streamer loadout they saw that day. That's the mistake. The gun's strength is control you can actually feel. You can take a longer lane, hold a heady, and keep your reticle from bouncing all over the place. Then, when you need to move, it doesn't punish you like some slow, brick-heavy AR. You'll notice it most in those mid-range fights where the other guy misses two shots and you just don't.

The Core Attachments You Shouldn't Skip

Start with the Defense-H Suppressor. It keeps you off the mini-map when you're cracking shots, and it also smooths the recoil in a way that makes follow-up bursts easier. After that, the 14.9" Tourville Sprint Barrel is the piece that changes how the class feels. You get better velocity and a bit more reach, so your bullets stop feeling like they're arriving late, and it helps when you're coming out of a sprint into an ADS gunfight. You'll slide or shoulder-peek and the Maverick just keeps up.

Handling Tweaks That Win Close Fights

This is where the build stops being "good" and starts feeling unfair. The Granulated OM 1 Grip keeps the weapon steady when you're tracking someone who's dancing left-right, and it makes your aim settle quicker after quick movements. Pair it with the Strider Overstep Stock and you'll feel that extra strafe speed the second you aim in. It's not just comfort—being able to move while ADS can straight-up steal fights, because your opponent's aim has to work harder than yours does.

Turning It Into A Silent Buzzsaw

Finish it off with the Buffer Spring fire mod. The bump in fire rate makes the Maverick feel like it's cutting through people before they can react, but it still stays controllable because the rest of the setup is doing its job. If you're the type who likes to keep a class tuned without wasting hours grinding, it also helps to know where to grab what you need—whether that's game currency, items, or quick services to stay kitted out—so slipping in something like RSVSR can make that whole process less of a chore while you focus on actually playing. Practice the timing, trust the strafing, and let the suppressor do its quiet work.
