The Last Resort event in ARC Raiders has landed in a way that feels pretty easy to live with. If you've been playing since Riven Tides, you'll know what I mean. It doesn't shove a checklist in your face or ask you to chase odd little tasks on the far side of the map. You head into a raid, do your usual run, grab what you can, fight when you have to, and try to leave in one piece. That's the whole rhythm. Even while you're sorting your stash or comparing ARC Raiders Items between runs, the event still feels tied to the stuff you already care about.

Merits come from playing well

The main thing you're earning is Merits, and the system is simple enough that you don't need a spreadsheet open beside you. XP turns into Merits after extraction, with the rough rate being around one Merit for every hundred XP. Kill machines, loot buildings, fill your pack, help your squad, and get out. That's where the progress comes from. The catch is pretty obvious, though. If you die before extracting, you're leaving value behind. So the smart play isn't always to stay for one more room or one more fight. Sometimes it's better to cut your run short, bank the XP, and keep the track moving.

Ship Models can change a run

Miniature Ship Models are the fun part of the event, because they add a bit of tension to normal looting. You're not guaranteed to find them. They can turn up while you're searching through the usual spots, and their rarity matters a lot. A low-tier one is still nice, but a better model can give your Merit total a proper shove forward. That makes extraction feel different. Suddenly that random collectible in your bag isn't just another thing to sell or forget about. It's progress. It also changes how people play. A squad that was ready to push another fight might decide to leave once someone finds a rare model.

The reward track has a decent spread

The event track isn't just padded with throwaway bits, which helps. Across its pages, there are around twenty-one rewards to work through. Some are small, like emotes or backpack attachments, but they still fit the rough, scavenged style of the game. The bigger draws are the cosmetic pieces, especially the Junior Outfit sets, which give players something clear to aim for. There are also up to two hundred and fifty Raider Tokens available if you keep going. That part matters, because tokens have real value outside the event itself. Even if you're not obsessed with every cosmetic, the track gives you enough reasons to keep dipping back in.

Why the event feels easy to stick with

What makes Last Resort work is that it respects the basic loop. You're not being asked to stop playing ARC Raiders in order to complete an event inside ARC Raiders. You're just being nudged to survive, loot with a bit of care, and make better calls at extraction time. Casual players can make steady progress over a few sessions, while grinders can chase Ship Models and squeeze more Merits out of each raid. It also sits nicely beside normal loadout planning, whether you're saving gear, testing builds, or swapping between ARC Raiders weapons before heading back out for another run. The event doesn't need to be flashy to be worth your time.
