U4GM Diablo 4 Curious Addition Second Item Chance In the Diablo 4 PTR, Curious Addition gives an eligible Obols purchase a chance of returning a second item, with the displayed chance reaching up to 25%. It's useful when you want more attempts at a needed equipment slot, but the extra item isn't guaranteed. You can consider Diablo 4 Items alongside your own gear plans. 1 How the Second Item Chance Works Curious Addition is a distinct Purveyor entry alongside the normal option. Premium Purveyor is another choice, with a higher price and improved Ancestral odds rather than the same second item benefit. Open the Purveyor interface and read the entry names and prices before spending. The Two for One text identifies the chance attached to an eligible Curious Addition purchase, while the available slot list determines what you can target. The extra item is useful when you need more opportunities to find an upgrade. A purchase without a second item still costs Obols, and the displayed percentage can be below the 25% ceiling. 2 Set Your Obols Budget Choose your target slots and reserve before your first purchase. The right split depends on how much currency you have and whether Ancestral quality is your immediate priority. Purchase Options and Their Uses Option Useful For Curious Addition More purchases and a chance at an extra item Premium Purveyor Fewer purchases with higher Ancestral odds Obols reserve Keeping enough currency for a Premium comparison This approach works when the Purveyor offers a slot you actually need. Pick two or three targets tied to an aspect, item power, or an Ancestral upgrade, then check the offered slots before committing. Curious Addition gives you more individual purchases for the same budget. At the full 25% chance, four eligible purchases would average one extra item over many comparable attempts, but any small batch can produce none or several. Premium costs three times the Curious Addition price for the same comparison, so reserving enough for it reduces your initial volume. Check the prices on screen and remember that higher Ancestral odds aren't a guarantee.
